About Amber

Amber is a Bay Area freelance writer, karaoke all-star and sunny day fanatic. She writes for multiple publications about anything arts and entertainment related: music, fashion, art and dance. She is often the photographer for her own concert reviews and she has been known to record a video or two.

Growing up in small town Minnesota, Amber quickly came to appreciate all that is good in ‘the city’, a.k.a. Minneapolis. A fabulous music scene, beautiful lakes, lots of patios and a generally safe place, the wild red head loved living and working as a writer in the City of Lakes.  Amber recently ventured across the USA with girlfriend, Ann, and chihuahua, Tegan, to expand her horizons and get the hell out the Midwest for awhile. This busy woman has multiple part time jobs, including but not limited to: waitstaff at Ozumo, a contemporary Japanese restaurant, and member of the SF Weekly Promotions ‘Street Team’. Amber is a feminist. She enjoys the company of dogs, mature adults and strange children. Amber also really likes sloths.
